The design of the Northern Specials Ns1 Pop Up baits has spun an original twist on a recognised and successful form of bait presentation, making them even better than they ever were before and a brilliant addition to your terminal tackle. If you have reaped the benefits of pop up baits before, you will love these. Straight away you notice the incredibly attractive hi-viz colours of these baits; pink, yellow or white, it’s hard to miss them. After you’ve cast them out onto the water, you’re carp will be able to spot them easily. Their colour isn’t the only thing that will last as they have been specially designed for long lasting buoyancy, too. So, even if the carp are particularly scarce in your session, these baits will stay afloat and attract fish for a long time.
The most important factor of bait is of course how attractive they are to fish, and these pop up baits certainly don’t disappoint in that department. They have been carefully infused with potent flavours and attractors to make them absolutely irresistible to fish, especially carp. The distinct aroma of the Northern Specials will get the fish swimming straight for your hookbait and will stimulate them to feed even in the most hostile conditions. Each pack is supplied with a sachet of booster liquid which you can use to increase the potency of these baits even further. By giving them a coat of the booster liquid and letting it dry in before use (to preserve the buoyancy of the bait), there’s no question about the amount of fish that will be heading straight for your rod. You can use this booster liquid as many times as necessary to tailor these exceptional baits to your preference.
Another useful factor of CC Moore’s baits is the incredible versatility. They are perfect for tipping baits, single hookbaits, and even snowman rigs. However you prefer to utilise your bait, these will be able to assist you in attracting as many fish to your area as possible and you can make the most of their exceedingly strong attractants, whether you’re angling out in the country or you’re in a packed and pressured venue. They are even durable enough to withstand more aggressive and nuisance fish so you can reuse them again and again, no matter your target fish.
Everything including the name of the Northern Specials is a hint to the history of its creation. They have been based on a single hookbait first developed by a group of young anglers fishing the meres in the North West back in the mid-late nineties that were performing far and beyond any other baits available on the market at the time. As a tribute to them, these baits are based on the same original key liquids that CC Moore have managed to re-source many years later and retain the truly exceptional blend of powerful attractors that were attracting in all those fish before.
NS1+ Pop Ups:
Over a number of years Gaz and a few of his closest angling colleagues have developed a small range of incredibly attractive Hi-Viz pop ups. Combining a selected blend of potent flavours and attractors with a high level of a vivid bait dye they have created these Northern Specials (I.B.s) that, due to their unprecedented level of success, have gained an almost mythical status.
Following the huge success of Gaz’s Northern Special NS1 Pop Ups, we have worked with him to develop the new ‘NS1+’ version in bright pink, bright yellow and white which have increased buoyancy and toughness that makes them perfect for use on Chod Rigs and Hinged Stiff Rigs.
Tip: “Give your NS1s a light coating of the booster liquid and allow it to be fully absorbed before adding any more. This priming process can be repeated over a period of weeks, or even months, to really supercharge your hookbaits.” Gaz Fareham.
Important notice about buoyancy: Soaking Northern Specials in liquids or excessively or repeatedly adding liquids to them will reduce their buoyancy. We strongly advise that baits are given a light coating and are fully dried before use. This can be repeated to increase their attraction, but the more times this is repeated, the more their buoyancy is likely to be reduced. It is essential to fully dry them before use if the original level of buoyancy is required.
